Stephen Taylor graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a Law Degree from the University of British Columbia Law School in 1989. After completing his Articles at Feller Drysdale in downtown Vancouver he was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1990. Stephen commenced practice at MacIsaac & Company on Vancouver Island, and in 1992 he opened his own firm on Stewart Ave, in Nanaimo, specializing in Criminal Defence work. In May of 1999 Mr. Taylor completed his Masters thesis in Community Based Sentencing Issues for Royal Roads University and obtained his Masters Degree in Leadership and Training. Mr. Taylor is also a part-time instructor at Vancouver Island University, in the Criminology Faculty.
Stephen Taylor has handled cases in all levels of court, Provincial, Supreme, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal. He has acted on large conspiracies, first-degree murder cases, as well as sex assaults, arson, theft and all manner of driving offences. As a result of defending all manner of drug charges, Mr. Taylor has become highly skilled in the issues of search warrants and wire taps.
